This is a very uncommon matching set of three different trick Navy Cut Cigarette boxes. These were made in Germany for the British market and were advertised by Simon Hechinger of Nurenburg in the 1920s. One drops cigarettes on you when you try to open it, one fires out a string of cigarettes (though the elastic is no longer stretchy) and one has a celluloid screen that prevents you from picking up a cigarette. Despite being around a century old, these are in very good condition.

This comes with our exclusive OldJokes.co.uk Fact Card on the history of joke manufacturing in Germany.

Condition: Very good, elastic had degraded in the string of cigarettes and celluloid has yellowed in one box. Otherwise just very minor wear.

This is a vintage item and is being sold as a collectible, not a toy.
